Hurt Benjamin Sesko to Miss Slovenian National Team Games but Manchester United Optimistic of Quick Comeback
Striker Benjamin Sesko will miss out on the Slovenian national team's forthcoming fixtures against Kosovo and Sweden because of a knee problem sustained during the latest game at Tottenham. However, the club is optimistic that he could be back in time to face the Everton side after the international window.
Knock Details and Recovery Period
The forward had to come off after 87 minutes of Saturday's 2-2 stalemate with Tottenham having been introduced on 58 minutes for teammate Mazraoui. Coach the team's manager voiced worry after the game, leading to the player's withdrawal from the Slovenian squad.
Manchester United will carry out additional examinations at Carrington this week, but early indications point to a possible return ahead of the Everton scheduled for 24 November.
Other Squad News
Casemiro and Harry Maguire also had to leave the field during the Tottenham match. While the defender's status is yet to be determined, it is believed that Casemiro is fit and has reported for international duty for Brazil.
MartÃnez, who has been sidelined since a knee injury back in February, will join the Argentine squad at their European training camp. But, the defender won't play in Friday's exhibition match against Angola at Luanda. A member of United's performance team will support the player, who recently resumed work with the first-team group.
