Child of Previous South African President Jacob Zuma Rejects Terror Accusations as Trial Starts
The daughter of ex- South African Head of State Jacob G Zuma has pleaded not guilty to terror allegations at the beginning of her legal proceedings in the harbor city of Durban city.
The defendant, 43 years old, is being charged over remarks she published on digital networks in the past during fatal unrest in South Africa that came after the detention of her dad.

Background of the Legal Matter
The unrest were concentrated in the regions of Gauteng region and KZN and followed the previous president's apprehension for disobeying a court order to testify at an inquiry into accusations of impropriety while he was in power.
The defendant has always rejected the charges against her, with her attorney in the past describing the state's evidence as unsubstantiated.
She has also frequently stated the charges against her were an attempt to settle political disputes with her dad after he started his own political party and competed against the ruling party.
Backing and Legal Defense
This was echoed by the foundation, which claimed the case was an "power abuse" and a "systematic campaign" of "political and familial targeting" against the previous head of state and his relatives.
A handful of supporters from her party, her party, turned up outside the judicial building, while her parent and other party leaders participated in the hearings inside.
Her legal team has stated that the proof presented by the state is insufficient and does not have substantial proof for a criminal finding.
